Essay

The research object – corundum catalyst carrier for the hydrocarbons vapor reforming process; the research purpose – development and manufacture apply of the scientific based technology of corundum catalyst carrier as Rashig ring with wavy surface for the hydrocarbons vapor reforming process; the methods – petrographic, X-ray method, electron-microscopic, differential-thermal, thermo-gravimetric, mercury porous metric high pressure method, method BET, mass plastic strength determination method on KP-3 cones plastometr and constants of elastic-viscous-plastic properties of masses on L.M. Tolstoy plastometr, standard methods of materials properties determination and developed methods of samples properties determination; results – the technology of corundum catalyst carrier as Rashig ring with water absorption more than 20 % and cold crushing strength 40–50 MPa; the novelty – theoretically based and experimental determined the technological parameters and masses compositions, phase- and structure formingprocesses on them, which provides receiving of corundum catalyst carrier with micro-porous structure and high water absorption and cold crushing strength; the extent of application – developed technology is applied at OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" where by the developed technology the manufacture of corundum catalyst carrier for the hydrocarbons vapor reforming process is realizing; application field – the hydrocarbons vapor reforming process in chemical industry.
