In this study author investigate immunogenetic indexes in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma: 14 varieties of HLA DRB1 gene and 12 varieties of HLA DQB1 gene, the levels of tumor necrosis factor and interferon. There were established connection between HLA genes and primary open-angle glaucoma in Ukrainian population. Correlation connection between varieties of HLA DRB1 and HLA DQB1 genes in blood samples and conjunctiva specimens in primary open-angle glaucoma patients were established. The results of the study shows the possibility of using genetic analysis (the definition of varieties of HLA DRB1 and HLA DQB1 genes) for early diagnostic of primary open-angle glaucoma. There were established significant elevation of tumor necrosis factor and interferon levels, greater in patients with developed glaucoma, especially after surgical treatment.
