Essay

Object: influence of different zinc level in the piglets' ration on the antioxidant system and carbonhydrates metabolism in their organism after weaning from the sows. Goal: find out different zinc level in the piglets' ration on the antioxidant system carbonhydrates metabolism in their organism after weaning from the sows. Methods: spectrophotometric, radioimmunologic, zootechnical, statistic. Novelty: the different level of zinc in the piglets' ration before and after weaning from the sows on the antioxidant system activity and carbonhydrates metabolism in their organism was studied for the first time. The direct dependence between zinc level in the piglets' ration and superoxidedismutase activity in the erythrocytes, liver and skeletal muscles of piglets and inverse dependence between it's level in the ration and peroxide oxidation products (lipid hydroperoxides, malonic dialdehydes) in blood plasma and tissues. Pyruvate concentration in blood, lactahydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphatedehydrogenaseactivity in erythrocytes is in direct and glucose and lactate - in inverse dependence to zinc level in the ration. On the basis of the obtained results the statement about antistress zinc action was set.
