Dubrovkina M. Improvement of validity of code recognition for identification of leather in the process of leather working

Object of research: the process of recognition of a code on different types of leather taking into account its features in processing to provide simultaneous product identification. The purpose of research: : to enhance reliability of code recognition while leather identification to provide quality control of technological process at all stages of the processing to that leads to improvement in quality of output. Methods of research: math-ematic simulation; the theory of probability and mathematical statistics; systemic analysis; planning theory and processing of experimental data; systematisation of theoretical data and its processing; decision principles. Theoretical and practical results: dependencies of lighting parameters of leather when using highlighting on a color, a covering, humidity, and damages of its sur-face; and disposition of code elements on its deformation were determined. Impact of positional relationship of highlighting and a code on the contrast of the image and an area of lightened(shaded) region of a code element was studied. An algorithm and recognition system developed provide simultaneous leather identification while processing. Novelty: the developed method of perforated code recognition, unlike existing ones, is based on determination of radius vectors from a centre of gravity of code data elements to a centre of gravity of each of these elements considering affine transformation and non-linear code deformations providing enhanced validity of code recognition at different stages of leather processing. A degree of introduction: the system of perforated code recognition as a part of marking complex were introduced and is in use at LC «Vozko» for simultaneous leather identification at different stages of its processing.
