Khrystenko O. German youth slang: linguocognitive and sociolinguistic aspects.

The thesis is devoted to the study of linguocognitive and sociolinguistic aspects of German youth slang based on the materials of questionnaires, Internet-chats and forums, dictionaries of German youth slang, printed press, belles - litters and films. The paper aims to define the notion of youth slang, its main characteristics and features, its structure and typology. The main tendencies and trends of investigation of the youth sociolect are analyzed. The thesis is also devoted to the analysis of the main features of using youth slang in different types of discourse. The work highlights the special features of the language picture of the world of young generation, which manifests in reflection of ethnocultural and sociocultural concepts in slang vocabulary, metaphor and metonymy, forming and remotivation of phraseological units, enriches due to loaning words. The main features of lexical-semantic system are determined in the paper. The thesis investigates the main sociolinguistic features of youth slang, its gender and regional features.
