It is an integrated investigation of formation and development of Ukraine as a subject of international relations from ancient times till nowadays. The author has analyzed legal standing of Kievan Rus and Halytsko-Volynsky Principality, legal and active capacity of Ukraine in Hetman times, formation of general legal standing of Ukrainian People’s Republic, legal standing of Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, establishing of Ukraine as a sovereign international actor in the beginning of 1990-s , development of its legal standing and active capacity, as well as strengthening of Ukraine as an international actor on the modern level of its development.
