Essay

The dissertation is dedicated for development of the vortex resource-saving installation and for method to obtain structurally non-destroyed embryo from the grain products on the basis of comprehensive studies in hydrodynamics of flows in the curvilinear channels of vortex chambers as well as for determination of the regime parameters for obtaining the embryo with the improved quality and an increase in output of product with the reduced power expenditure. The mathematical model of two-phase vortex flow in the cylindrical vortex chamber with the n- multiple supply of energy carrier has been proposed. The model accounts for operation and structural parameters of the chamber and defines specified empirical dependences for the number of coefficients. For the first time it has been determined the influence of the key factors on processes of treatment: the n- multiple supply of energy carrier, roughness of surfaces, geometrical characteristics of the perforated obstacles, boundaries of centrifugal instability and changes in the key factors. Operating parameters have been defined in theoretical and experimental ways to obtain the embryo in the vortex installation combining the methods of shelling with the short-term steaming by the hot vapor with the subsequent treatment in the vortex flow. The effectiveness of the method of the stage-wise shelling of grain products in the vortex chamber with the rough surfaces and their grindings under the forces in the vortex flow has been proved. The basis for developing of the effective vortex installation and method for obtaining of the high-quality structurally non-destroyed embryo has been grounded and realized. The rational operating and geometric parameters of the vortex chamber, which ensure the necessary quality for obtaining of the treatment products and productivity of the installation, has been determined. The preproduction installation for obtaining of wheat embryo has been made, and its testing under the operating conditions has been conducted.
