Essay

The thesis deals with studying biological features of the development of garden buckleberry - Solanum nigrum L., and processes of weed infestation in agrofhytocenosis of sugar beet. Phenological stages of the development of garden buckleberry and their duration, features of seed germination of the weed and its harmfulness in sugar beet stands were determined. On the basis of new knowledge, well grounded measures of efficient control of garden buckleberry and other weeds in sugar beet stands were worked out, which should combine a chemical method (three successive sprayings with tank composition of the herbicides: Betanal Expert, 27 % c.e. - 0.75 l/ha + Goltix, 70 % c.s. - 1 l/ha + Silvet - 0,06 l/ha and one spraying with the graminicide Pantera, 4 % c.e. - 1 l/ha) and a phytocenotic one (formation of a uniform stand of sugar beet plants wits density of stand of 110 thousand plants/ ha and more at the time of root harvesting).
