Babiy I. Pretrial Proceedings of Criminal Cases Concerning Certain Officials Holding Especially Responsible Positions

This dissertation is a research work in which the author had studied on monographic level contemporary legal, theoretical, and practical problems of pretrial proceedings of criminal cases concerning offenses perpetrated by certain officials holding especially responsible positions. The author reviewed different types of proceedings under criminal justice system; studied legal status of certain officials holding especially responsible positions and their immunity; analyzed procedural procedures of initiating criminal cases, performing investigative actions, and applying measures of procedural enforcement concerning said officials; and made proposals concerning improvement of legislative regulation of pretrial investigation procedure concerning certain officials holding especially responsible positions and improvement of investigative and judicial practices.
