Essay

The objects are - all works of the Elizabethan writer Th. Nashe (pamphlets, novel, poem, play and burlesque). The aim is to find out the peculiarities of his artistic thinking and specificy of his aesthetic views, and to define the role of this writer in perspective development of satiric tradition in England. The methods are socioculturological, receptive aesthetics and some principles of new historicism. In the given thesis a trying to give the definition of satiric pathos and the object of satire are made, mechanisms of relization of critic imperatives in different Nashe's works are also investigated. It is proved, that specific character of Th. Nashe's satire lays in combination of traditions and innovations.
