Thesis is devoted to the research of history of intellectual property law and legislation of Ukraine (X – XXI cent.). Sources of intellectual property law have been setted as well as the social and economic preconditions of its development in Ukraine. On the basis of the proposed criteria the periodization of history of intellectual property law in Ukraine has been done. Formation and development of scientific thougts concerning intellectual property law in Ukraine have been elucidated.
