The thesis is devoted to the research of relevant scientific problems of establishment of the institution of the prosecutor’s office in Galicia as a part of Austria and Austria-Hungary in 1848-1918; the research of general (governmental) and specialized (financial) prosecutor’s offices formation procedure, the identification of their structure and competence; the place and the role of prosecutor’s offices in the state and political system of Austria and Austria-Hungary; the identification of their advantages and disadvantages, and the functioning peculiarities of the institution of the prosecutor’s office in Galicia.
