Tomyn E. Efficiency of use pigs large white breed at various methods of breeding

Research results of studying of large white beed sows reproduction qualities and young animals slaughtering qualities according to different methods of breeding have been stated in the dissertation. Effective interbreeding variants and breed-native hybridization of large white breed sows with Myrgorod, Poltava meat breed and red-zone specialized line of meat pigs have been determined. Evaluation results of thoroughbred, crossed and hybrid young pigs according to length, fattening and meat and greasy qualities and also blood interior indicators have bee given. Interbreed crossing and breed-native hybridization are recommended to be used for pork production increase at forms of Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. Large white breed is better used as a maternal form and Poltava meat bred and red-zone specialized line of meat pigs as a paternal form.
