The work is dedicated to the research of influence of arylpiperazine derivatives on their affinity to 5-HT1A receptors with the aim to creation of new potent anxiolytics. All researches have been made in the framework of hierarchical system of QSAR models on the basis of simplex representation of molecular structure. Structural factors which had a major impact on affinity of ligands to 5-HT1A receptors have been determined. Series of perspective ligands have been constructed. Some of these ligands can have useful pharmacological effects (anxiolytic, antipsychotic, antidepressant) in addition to their high affinity to 5-HT1A receptors.
