Essay

Object of study: respiratory and non-respiratory function of lungs in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM type 2) and metabolic syndrome (MS). Aim of investigation: to study of particularity of disorders respiratory and non-respiratory pulmonary function in patients with DM type 2 and MS and improve the diagnosis of pulmonary system in these patients. Methods and apparatus: clinical, biochemical, spectrophotometerical, instrumental, physical, chemical, histological, morphometrical, statistical; spirograph «MICRO-Lab», computer tenziometr «ADSA», spectrophotometer «СФ-46», analyser of gas «Radiometr - Copenhagen », light-optical microscope «Olympus BX - 41 ». Theoretical and practical results: we detected particularity of respiratory function, lung surfactant in patients with DM type 2 in combination with MS and without MS. Determine factors that affect breathing performance. This will improve the diagnosis of diseases of the respiratory system in these patients. Justified the use of instrumenal methods of investigation of lung function test in patients with DM type 2 in combination with MS and without MS. Innovation: it is the presence of signs of MS in patients with DM type 2 to deterioration of respiratory and non-respiratory function of lungs and revealed secondary surfaktantopathy of lungs. Metabolite of nitric oxide impact on the development of obstructive changes in the respiratory tract in patients with DM type 2 in combination with MS and without MS. Be formed decompensation respiratory acidosis in patients with DM type 2 in combination with MS and compensated metabolic acidosis in patients with DM type 2. Detected reconstruction and transformation of lung tissue with bronchial tree in DM type 2 in combination with MS and without MS. Degree of implementation: results can be used in clinical practice for early diagnosis of diseases of the respiratory system in patients with DM type 2 and MS, in the educational process. Sector of use: endocrinology, pulmonology, therapy.
