Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the genre poetics of the Russian composer of the second half of the ХХ century N. Sidelnikov (1930 -- 1992) in the aspect of musical and literary genre regions. Modern options on the notion "musical genre", considering it also the multitude that exists in musical practice, are studied in the thesis. The researcher specifies the notion of the genre poetics as the dominant principle of composer's thought. The typology of genres interaction, which takes new kind -- the genre competition, is created in the work. The author specifies that it was N. Sidelnikov's world outlook that had great impact on composer's genre poetics formation. The universal comprehension is realized through the symbol of labyrinth. The scientific work provides analyses N. Sidelnikov's work during his basic creation periods -- concert for twelve soloists "Russian fairy-tales" (1968), choral cantata "Secret talks" (1975), vocal cycle by V. Hlebnikov's poem "In the country of sedges and forget-me-nots" (1978), the novel-simfoniya for piano solo "Labyrinths" (1992).
