Essay

The purpose of work is prolongation of operation term of the rolling stock support-ing structures on the basis of comparison of qualities of their durability and resource. The development of a technique of comparative estimation of the resource of supporting structures with use of a "weak element" principle is carried out. The estimation technique for influence of local modernizations on the residual resource of supporting structures and the comparative estimation procedure for their resource by means of com-parison of dynamic loading are advanced. The service life of shunting diesel locomotives ТГМ6А can be set as long as 30-33 years. The modernization of a frame of bogies of electric locomotives ВЛ60 allows increasing twice the term of their operation. The comparative analysis of operating time of bogies of trailer (main) and motor cars of electric trains ЭР9М,Е allows applying to them without restrictions the Technical solutions on prolongation of service life of electric train ЭР9П (45 years). Frames of motor cars of electric trains ЭР9М are loaded more than analogue (ЭР9П) that allows extending their service life up to 35 years since the construction.
