Essay

The thesis is devoted to the research of dzhikhad as an important part of concept of war and peace in an islam. The problem of correlation between war and peace in religion of islam is solved during the detailed analysis of original texts of representatives of different religious directions, and also texts of modern researchers of this problem. The most important in the islam is a prohibition of various compulsions, including adopting the religion, and also prohibition of any slogans which call before war. Such approach exists as in Koran, as in Sunni. Dzhikhad is examined as a "large dzhikhad" and a "small dzhikhad". Large dzhikhad includes such kinds as: "dzhikhad of heart", "dzhikhad of language (words)", "dzhikhad of hand". Small dzhikhad includes "dzhikhad of sword". Concept "dzhikhad" means "effort before God in relation to defence of own religion". The question is not about distribution and violent imposing of own religion, but the question is about d e f e n c e of religion. It was researched that the concept of "dzhikhad" is also used for description of somebody's own fight against passions, as a necessity of cleaning the soul in order to become the real muslim. A man as unique in the world spiritual creature is a central figure in the religion of islam, exactly a man aspires to the peace, to the peaceful coexistence with the other people, to their own happiness and happiness of the descendants.
