Essay

The dissertation is devoted to investigation of efficiency applying decametoxinum to prevent catheter-related infections and to work-out the mode to lend antimicrobial properties for catheters by their coating with adhesive antiseptic substance. The advantage of decamethoxinum and mutual potencies of antimicrobial acting its combination with hydroperitum was show. The antimicrobial efficacy of catheters coated with combination of polyvinilbutiral with decametoxinum and hydroperitum has been shown in in-vitro experiment. It has been proved in vivo that catheters protected by such coating have continuous antimicrobial acting, maintain antiseptic regime in tissues and prevent inflammation. The preventive efficiency of antimicrobial catheters has been confirmed by clinical observations in 75 cases of urinary catheterization.
