Gas-dynamic processes in intake ports, cylinder and semidivided combustion chambers of small-capacity high-rotation rate diesels with volumefilm mixing. Aerodynamic improvement of intake ports and combustion chambers of small-capacity high-rotation rate diesels by means of numerical simulation of unsteady gas flow in intake ports and cylinder of engine. Mathematical simulation of gas-dynamic processes in intake ports and cylinder, and also experimental investigation of steady flow through intake ports. Numerical method of analysis of three-dimensional unsteady viscous turbulent flows in intake ports and cylinder of internal combustion engine is developed taking into consideration movement of solid borders, dual time stepping and correction of compressibility for low-velocity flows. Choice of turbulence model that ensures maximal accuracy of prediction of turbulent pulsations is justified. Effect of engine operating regime, geometrical parameters of intake ports and combustion chamber, in-cylinder swirlintensity on process of swirl generation in cylinder and combustion chamber by example 4ЧН8,8/8,2 engine is determine. Existence of valve lift which rising not lead to essential increasing of in-cylinder swirl intensity is shown. Recommendations of choosing rational geometrical characteristics of intake ports, valves and combustion chamber of small-capacity high-rotation rate diesels are presented. Results of researches and com-ponents of solver are introduced in State-owned Enterprise “Kharkiv Engine Design Bureau”. An engine building.
