Alexandrov A. Lawful views of Olexandr Koniskiy

The paper researches the life and activity of the remarkable writer, public personality, lawyer and the Taras Shevchenko Scientific Society founder - Olexandr Yakovych Koniskiy. In the paper the part of Konyskiy in the national liberation movement, his multiaspectual writer, politician, law, pedagogical and educational activity are appreciated in complex at first time, his contribution in developing judicial concepts in the Ukraine of the second half of the XIX century is lighted up as well. The ideas of Konyskiy for the sphere of criminal and civil law, courts, advocate and notary activities are exposed up. His suggestions for ensuring the democracy in the power bodies, developing of the self-governing establishments are analized in the paper. The width of the interests (the provement of which is his activity) of O.Konyskiy gives all the reasons to consider his personality to be an out-standing lawyer of his time and requires his scientific inheritance to be investigated and applied to important tasksof modern science solutions.
