Thesis work is dedicated to investigation of spread of plum pox virus in Transcarpathian region and molecular-biological properties of Transcarpathian PPV isolates. For the first time, RT-PCR identification of PPV and sequencing of obtained nucleotide of coat protein gene with their comparison with Genebank data allowed concluding that Transcarpathian PPV isolates belong to strain D.
