Essay

The object of research is megaconcepts SPACE, TIME, INFORMATION, verbalized by the innovative means of the metalanguage of virtual reality. The research methods are: definitive, comparative, descriptive, typological, componental analyses; the techniques of lexical transformation, phraseological identification, etymological analysis, quantitative analysis, frame modelling, conceptual analysis. Scientific novelty of the received results and conclusions consists in the fact that for the first time in the research the peculiarities of the neologic verbalization of megaconcepts SPACE, TIME, INFORMATION are established in English metalanguage of virtual reality based on the newest actual material with the use of linguistic cognitive anthropocentric paradigm, semasiological and onomasiological approaches. Theoretical value of the dissertational research is defined by the fact that its results and conclusions are the contribution to the development of cognitive linguistics and, in particular, to further development of cognitive bases of neology, conceptual semantics, frame semantics. Practical value of the paper consists in the possibility of using its results in teaching of such normative courses as English language lexicology, practice of translation, practice of English language. Conclusions and results of the dissertation promote the development of special courses on problems of neology, cognitive linguistics, cognitive semantics, scientific and technical translation. Materials of the research can be used in lexicographic practice, research work and translation practice.
