The thesis for a Candidate Degree in Pedagogical Sciences in speciality 13.00.09 - Theory of teaching. - The Institute of Pedagogy of APS (Academy of Pedagogical Science) of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2009. In the dissertation the didactic expediency of the use of a game as an effective means of teaching primary school children foreign languages is founded. The essence, functions and principles of using games are defined. With the aim of theoretical foundation of the games use for teaching primary school children the didactic conditions of games use are determinated. We offer the model of study intended for the development of foreign language communicative competence by means of game teaching technology use. Analyzing the result of the experiment we came to the conclusion that the pupils had positively attitude to the games. Reliable increasing of all data in the experimental groups testifies the positive influence of games on the development of foreign language communicative competence and personal relatives, which included: relations during joint activity, emotional-relations, trend to communication.
