Gritsenko N. Railway Transport Reforming in Ukraine

The object is processes of transformation and modification of organizational structure of railway transport in Ukraine. The goal is theoretical and practical aspects of railway transport reforming in present-day Ukraine, aimed at creation of a new efficient organizational structure. The methods are fundamental principles of the economic science; comparative, systematic and static analysis; methods of logic and graphic modelling; method of financial analysis formalization and multiple-factor forecasting; and economic-mathematical ones. The novelty is designing adaptation strategy of organizational structure for railway transport in Ukraine, which unlike existing strategies enables to adjust the structure quickly and effectively in accordance with the changes of state and current customers’ demands in transportation. The results have been improved: the current listed expenditures of major kinds of economic activity of railway transport, which include expenditures by items and structural railway divisions; conceptual approach towards railway transport reforming, which takes into consideration the transition towards an improved management structure; technological strategy of functional distribution which unites and reduces structural railway departments fulfilling the same functions; calculation of economic benefits due to workforce reduction and efficient use of existing resources, which enables to decrease operational expenditures and increase railway transport efficiency. It has been applied at railway transport enterprises. The field is railway transport.
