The work reported in this thesis is devoted to the determination of web local buckling of welded beams with the use of intermittent fillet welds considering their elastic ductility in longitudinal and transverse directions. The method for the determination of numerical elastic ductility values of continuous and intermittent fillet welds in longitudinal and transverse directions has been developed. Stability of plates and welded beams web sections at a bend has been investigated. Comparative calculations were performed using computer programs based on Timoshenko-Ritz and B.M. Broude methods, and also with the use of FEM, realized in SCAD Office. Critical stress values have been obtained and compared as the result of these calculations. The influence on web local buckling at a bend and at the transversal bend of such factors has been investigated: a way of intermittent welds modelling and their total length, a ratio of beams web sections dimensions and a value of flange and web stifnesses. As a result of experimental investigations of welded steel beam's web local buckling the critical loading value was defined, and it is close to numerical calculations results.
