Grekova M. The international labour standards as a basis of improvement

The dissertation contains the complex scientific analysis of theoretical legal problems on improvement of the national labour legislation in reliance on the international labour standards. In particular, the objective prerequisites which define the necessity of convergence of the international and national regulation of relations in the field of labour relations are researched and the areas of its realization are grounded; the term of the international labour standard is defined and the legal characteristic of its basic features is given; the peculiarities of the mechanism of national implementation of the international labour standards are determined and the ways of its improvement are provided; the forms of realization of implemented international labour standards provisions are specified, and also the factors which interfere with effective realization of these provisions are established; the development of the labour legislation of the former USSR and the international labour standards is characterized in a context of their interaction; the directions for the further development of the labour legislation of Ukraine are found under the influence of the international labour standards in this work. The specific proposals and recommendations concerning the improvement of the labour legislation of Ukraine are developed in view of provisions of the international labour standards.
