Essay

The work is devoted to development of principles of creation of multichannel optoelectronic systems which is based on evanescent wave phenomena. Peculiarities of electromagnetic energy propagation in the system which is based on the planar waveguide were studied during the work. The aim of the study was to improve accuracy of measurements in the system. Contribution of energy losses that takes place on the border of the waveguides was elucidated. Construction of device which allows correction of this loss was proposed. Optoelectronic system designed for detection and visualization of biochemical information was created. This system is based on scattering phenomena on a surface of a gold film in surface resonance condition. The validation of scattering light measurements was done both for bulk refractive index changes and thin biological films. Prototype of optoelectronic system which uses scattered light and devoted for multichannel measurements was created during this work. The prototype was approved in V.E. Lashkaryov Institute of Semiconductor physics, Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm Sweden) and Institute of Microsystems and Microelectronics (Lecce, Italy).
