Trohimchenko M. Financial Mechanism of Investment Support for Regional Development of Ukraine.

This Dissertation work is devoted to the issue of substantiation of possible improvement directions for the financial mechanism of investment support for regional development purposes. The dissertation work contains the analysis of the theoretical issues appertaining to the nature and role of investments in the regional social and economic development system, and the assessment of the social and economic feasibility and efficiency of regional development investments. The dissertation work also includes the evaluation of the current condition of investments by regions, foreign investments, regional investments, and definition of the regional peculiarities of direct foreign investments attraction. Besides, it comprises the analysis of the theoretical approaches concerning investmnt attractiveness of separate regions, evaluation of the methodological support system, its practical application, and definition of prospective improvement directions. In this dissertation work, there is also the assessment of certain mechanisms of financial support for regional investments. The dissertation work includes theoretical aspects of creation of the financial mechanism of investment support for regional development, substantiation of its perspective development directions, as well as defining of the features peculiar to creation of the financial system of investment support needed for depressive areas development. Here is also the analysis and substantiation of various ways of financial instruments mobilizing and application for the purpose investment support of regional development.
