Fedorets М. Accounting in credit unions: organization and methodology

Object of research: accounting process of activity of credit unions in Ukraine. Research objective: a substantiation of theoretical and practical positions of the organization of registration process of activity of credit unions and working out of methodical recommendations concerning their improvement. Methods: comparisons, monographic and historical, induction and deduction, expert judgments and control interrogations, grouping and statistical comparisons, associations and analogies. Theoretical and practical results: the work shows up a credit union economic essence as an object of accounting organization. Conceptual statements of accounting organization in credit unions are systemized taking into account properties of accounting system and their specific activity. Internal organizational regulations are developed for providing accounting process organization in such establishments. The methods of the basic financial operation accounting of forming capital, deposit and credit operation has been improved. For this purpose more precise names and prescriptions of separate book-keeping accounts (sub-accounts) and articles of accounting form № 1 "Balance" and № 2 "Report on financial results" have been proposed. Scientific novelty: theoretical-methodical substantiation of positions and working out of recommendations and offers concerning improvement of the organization of registration process, an account technique in credit unions as financial intermediaries who act on co-operative bases, with the status of the non-profitable organizations. Introduction degree: workings out are introduced into practice of credit unions of Donetsk regional association: "Well-being", "East", "the Donetsk loan association"; a credit union "Chernigov"; are used in educational process of Donetsk national university of economy and trade of a name of Michael Tugan-Baranovskiy. Efficiency: use of the received results will assist improvement of components of the organization of registration process, a technique of the account of the basic operations and the fiscal accounting of credit unions.
