Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the reconstruction of the intellectual biography of O. Lototsky. Based on analysis of the historiography of the topic, the wide circle of sources, scientific contribution of the author the need for complex research of the Lototskiy’s heritage was defined. The connection of the scientific studies of the historian with his public and political live was established. The pedagogical and organizational actives of the scientist are also described. In order to recreate the evolution of the Lototscky’s world view as well as his historical views and political position the works of the scientist on the history of church, spiritual education, biographical essays were analyzed. The perspectives of the future use of the creative heritage of the scientist were defined
