In the dissertation the detailed criminological characteristic of sexual crimes is given, their dynamics and structure is investigated; the most important criminological characteristics of the person guilty of a sexual crime are determined and formulated; the dissertator reveals the features of the mechanism of committing sexual crime by persons attributed by the dissertator to the different qualitatively separated groups on the basis of social - demographic, criminal - legal characteristics, moral and psychological characteristics, biological properties; generalized criminological characteristic of the sexual criminal is created; the complex of the reasons and conditions which cause committing sexual crimes is determined, the mechanism of their action is investigated; recommendations on prevention of sexual crimes are given; offers on improvement of the current legislation are stated.
