The dissertation is devoted to the specific character of using the timbre of trumpet in symphonic scores of B. Lyatoshynsky and S. Lyudkevych. Preconditions of character symbolic of this timbre in above-mentioned composers basing upon interpretation of this instrument in folk traditions and in other artists' works are researched.
