Lavriyenko T. Moral and ethical concepts in the works by H. Kvitka-Osnovyanenko and the American litera-ture at the end of XVIIIth - the middle of XIXth cen-tury: typological correspondences

The object: prosaic works by H. Kvitka-Osnovyanenko,Ch.Brown, N. Hawthorne. The aim: to investigate the typological correspondences and differ-ences of the artistic interpretation of certain moral-ethical concepts in the works by H. Kvitka-Osnovyanenko and the American literature at the end of 18th - the middle of 19th century. Practical signifi-cance: the results of the comparative investigation will provide the opportunity to signify the role the fictional elucidation of the dominant moral and ethical concepts of their century. The materials of the given thesis can be used to prepare new comparative works, the devel-opment of Ukrainian literature of the 19th centure from the point of view of world literature. Methods: com-parative, typological, historical, literaly, structural, se-mantic, psycological, biographical.
