The object: the fiction of Virginia Woolf, her novels "Mrs. Dalloway", "To the Lighthouse", "Orlando", "Jacob's Room", critical essays, dia-ries and letters. The aim: to emphasize the mod-ernistic artistic peculiarities in general and Virginia Woolf's modernist prose in particular. Practical significance: the observation of the artistic peculi-arities of Virginia Woolf's modernist prose can be applied as a material for courses of theory of lit-erature, world literature, for graduation and de-gree theses. Methods: The aim of the thesis pro-vides the combination of different methods such as cultural-historical, formal, hermeneutical etc.
