Dissertation is devoted to case study of criminal responsibility for abduction, assignment, extortion of fire-arms, ammunition, explosives either radioactive materials or acquisition by them by swindle or abuse of official position (article 262 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The objective and subjective signs of the act of crime provided in article 262 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are investigated, default of the operating criminal legislation and practice of its use are found out. The problems of criminal and legal qualification of the crimes mentioned above and the problems of their distinguishing from related corpus delicti are examined in the study. Proposals concerning improvement of positions of the criminal legislation of Ukraine and practice of its use are formulated.
