The dissertation is devoted to the problem of detection abnormality of lipid metabolism in children with chronic viral hepatitis С finding connection between laboratory indicators and morphologic changes in liver tissue, effectiveness of therapeutic drug correction with hepatoprotectic and metabolic preparations. Steatosis of weak and moderate degree was observed in patients with viral chronic hepatitis C, more frequently it was observed in sick with 3 virus genotype. Steatosis progressing was accompanied with increasing levels of cholestasis, triglycerides, low density lipoproteins and gradual reduction of high density lipoproteins level in blood serum. Effectiveness of combined therapy, which includes ursodeoxycholic acid and metabolic preparation "Cardonat" for correction of lipid metabolism abnormality in children with chronic viral hepatitis C, has been elaborated and scientific proved
