TThe thesis covers the study of epidemiology, clinical peculiarities, risk factors, psychological problems and psychological support in the syndrome of child abuse. The psychological consequences of the syndrome of child abuse consist in anxiety, the lowered mood, indecision, emotional isolation, aggressiveness, fears, touchiness, negativism, hot temper and decreased self-appraisal. The psychological changes revealed are evidence of the necessity to provide the psychological rehabilitation to the victims of cruel treatment. The psychological rehabilitation, intensified by the methods of art therapy reliably increases the effectiveness of the rendered aid.There were substantiated the preventive measures directed at the reduction of frequency of the syndrome of child abuse. The results of the study are introduced into the clinical practice
