Essay

The attention to the world of artifacts is formed on higher level of literary culture. Object image became important at the time of Renaissance and was complicated in literature and art of Baroque, where sensual brightness of object was dissolved in the idea of "memento mori". Classicism, cultivating antique and renaissance taste to mimesis, transformed the object into an accessory. Literary work of classicism and romanticism is hardly imagined without detailed description of material civilization. But only in romanticism the genuine "word painting" was formed, the object was shown in complicated mutual relations with its creator - a human being, it expressed spiritual essence of people and at the same time acquired immanence, alienation.
