Essay

A mathematical model of coordinate-nonuniform elastic bodies is built that takes into account the internal relaxation processes. The approach for determining the optimal, from the standpoint of contact durability criteria, structural parameters of binary heterogeneous metallic bodies exposed to friction loads are proposed. The developed approach makes it possible to find the percentage of constituents and their dimensions with which the lifetime parameters of binary heterogeneous systems increase. The numerical implementation of the approaches proposed in this work is tested to determine the optimal parameters of babbitt and ferritic-perlite steels structures after welding, overlaying welding and plasma hardening.
