The dissertation is dedicated to the research of clinical-psychopathological peculiarities of chronic depressions, factors and mechanism of chronification. By means of complex clinical-descriptive, psychological-diagnostic and special anamnestic investigation of 48 cases of chronic depression and compartment of clinical-psychopathological peculiarities of these states with the clinic of 34 cases of episodic depressions the basic diagnostic features that enable early detection of depression's chronification were revealed. New clinical phenomena named alexiphilia and pseudosuicidality as the typical features and predictors of chronic depressions were described, main subjective feelings which are different in patients with chronic and episodic depressions were discovered. The hypothesis about chronification mechanism in depressions as a vicious circle of psychogenic, endogenous and personality dependent factors interaction was substantiated. The pathogenic stereotype of relations with doctors that is typical for patients with chronic depressions, and the personality dependent factor of depression's chronification were characterized, practical recommendations for optimization of therapeutic cooperation were proposed.
