Gaivoronsky E. Contraband of cultural values: criminological characteristic, determination and prevention.

Thesis is devoted to complex measures working out as to prevention of contraband of cultural values in virtue of crime state and tendencies analysis in this sphere. The historical source of contraband of cultural values and measures being taken against it have been investigated. The peculiarities of legal liability for committing of this criminal action have been determined. The contents of the "cultural values" notion have been investigated and their character have been outlined. The criminological characteristic of contraband of cultural values and its connection with the organized crime have been also investigated; the tendencies of crime development have been revealed. The social and psychological characteristic of the criminal - contrabandist personality has been examined which gave the possibility to reveal the persons being the most inclined to contraband of cultural values. The factors, causes and conditions, determining the contraband of cultural values committing have been ascertained. The complex of preventive measures, including submitting proposals and amendments to the law in force have been proposed.
