Essay

It is carried out a new relativistic approach to description of collisional shift and broadening spectral lines of hyperfine structure for heavy atoms in a medium of inert gases. New approach is based on kinetical theory of spectral lines, exchange relativistic perturbation theory with using optimized Dirac-Kohn-Sham and Sturm-Kohn-Shan orbitals basises and correct accounting correlations. There are carried out the calculations of polarizabilities, van der Waals constants, shifts and broadening the hyperfine structure lines for pairs “alkali, rare-earth, Tl atom- an inert gas atom” in a wide interval of temperatures. A significant part of the quite exact data is firstly obtained and can be used in different applications, including atomic optics, laser physics, chemistry of plasma etc
