Irioglu Y. Oral narratives as a source of history of Bulgarian settlement at the Northern Priazovie of the XX century

The thesis first investigates wholistically the oral narratives as sources of history of Bulgarian settlement at the Northern Priazovie of the XX century. The historiographic works with regard to problems of oral historical investigations and source studies of oral narratives are analyzed. The notion of "oral historical source" is elaborated and peculiar functional characteristics are revealed. The specificity of oral narratives before they were identified as sources are revealed and the most efficient forms of oral narratives record via the interview are determined. The information possibilities of oral narratives for investigation of history of Bulgarian community of the Northern Priazovie and disclosure of sociocultural transformations of their life under the influence of socioeconomic and social and political events of 1920s - 1940s are found out.
