Essay

The thesis concerns the research of the structure of magnetic fluids (MF) with different types of stabilization using small-angle neutron scattering. It is obtained that the size of particles in organic MFs with myristic acid stabilization is twice less than in the case with oleic acid stabilization. The aggregates in water-based MFs with lauric acid consists of particles with stabilizing shell ~3,5 nm. In biocompatible MF with PEG fractal aggregates with the size more than 120 nm are formed. In water-based MFs with charge stabilization there is a significant influence of the Van der Waals interaction against the negligible interaction between magnetic moments of the particles.
