This research reveals structural-semantic and communicative-pragmatic peculiarities of verbal and non-verbal means of censure representation in the English fiction discourse. It focuses on the phenomenon of censure as a complex unity. Status and role relations and gender of interlocutors in the utterances of censure have been described and analyzed. Lexical means of nomination and expression of censure in Modern English have been singled out, stylistic and syntactic peculiarities of utterances of censure have been concretized. Special attention has been paid to non-verbal means of censure representation in the English discourse.
