Essay

This dissertation is the first research of suggestive lyrics based on interdisciplinary definition of the notion of suggestion. The research has also tended to qualify origin, structure and functions of suggestive lyrics. The specifical means of suggestion at the different structural levels of poetry are illustrated by poems written by Lesya Ukrainka, V. Svidzynsky, M. Vorony, B.-I. Antonych, P. Tychyna. The thesis includes a construction of schema of author-and-reader literary response and ideas about suggestive lyrics as methaganre.
