The thesis focuses on the analysis of specific thematic, structural-compositional, linguistic and cultural features of German household folk tales. German household folk tales, fixed in a written form by the brothers Grimm ("Kinder- und Hausmarchen"), where the authentic form and content of the text are preserved, were analyzed in the thesis. This thesis suggests a complex approach to the study of German household folk tale as a product of national language and culture. The thematic characteristics of German household folk tale are studied. The invariant structure and composition model of German household folk tale is revealed. The genre and composition features of permanent and variable structural components of household tale (title, build-up, introduction, climax, final and traditional formulae) are determined. The study suggests a typology of German household folk tale characters and classific concepts of their archetypes. German household folk tales cultural symbols are defined; cultural and national peculiarities of their text are described.
