The dissertation is devoted to the problem of improvement of circular knitters drive by means of using two electric motors (double-flow drive) in its construction. The new construction of drive of a circular knitter which is able to balance the radial loadings on the knitting and receiving mechanisms is offered in this paper. The possible variants of synchronization of electric motors of drive are offered, and the required power of electric motors is found. The dynamics of work of circular knitter with a double-flow drive is explored. The influence of operating parameters of drive on the dynamic loadings is appraised and optimization of these parameters, which provides the minimal dynamic loadings on its mechanisms, is conducted. The experimental setting of the model of a double-flow drive of a circular knitter which allows to confirm the idea of the even distribution of power (twisting moments) between the vertical shafts of drives is developed. It is experimentally proved that divergence of power distribution of a double-flow drive on two streams does not exceed 3%. Fundamentally new constructions of circular knitter drives are offered and expedience and efficiency of their use is proved.
