Essay

The Thesis has been devoted to the synthesis of nanosized titanium, tin and tantalum oxides in molten nitrate media. Well-formed nanoparticles with size 8-90 nm were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electron microscopy (TEM).The functional properties of prepared nano-sized oxides have been studied. It has been found that KTaO3 has the ferroelectric properties. The tin and titanium oxides (IV) were found to be electrochemically active with regard the reaction of lithium intercalation.
